General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

We are a Data Controller of your information. UK Student Sponsors' legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy depends on the personal information we collect and the specific context in which we collect it:

We will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, and to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights. If you wish to be informed what personal information we hold about you, or want it removed from our systems, please contact us. In certain circumstances you have the following rights:

Newsletter Sign-ups

If you enter your email address in the newsletter form, we store that address, the page you signed up from and the date, so that we can send you occasional updates about changes to the sponsor register and to UK Student visa rules and fees. The legal basis for this processing is your consent, given when you submit the form.

Sign-ups are stored in Google Cloud Firestore. We do not sell, rent or share subscriber email addresses with third parties, and we do not use them for anything other than these updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by emailing info@ukstudentsponsors.co.uk — we will delete your address from our records on request.

Log Files

UK Student Sponsors follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this as part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any personally identifiable information. The purpose is analysing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Cookies and Web Beacons

Like any other website, UK Student Sponsors uses cookies. These store information including visitors' preferences and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimise the users' experience by customising our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information.

Google DoubleClick DART Cookie

Google is a third-party vendor on our site. It uses cookies, known as DART cookies, to serve ads to our visitors based on their visit to our website and other sites on the internet. Visitors may decline the use of DART cookies by visiting the Google ad and content network Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Advertising Partners

Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technologies like cookies, JavaScript or Web Beacons in their advertisements and links that appear on UK Student Sponsors, which are sent directly to users' browsers. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or personalise the advertising content you see. Note that UK Student Sponsors has no access to or control over these cookies used by third-party advertisers.

Third-Party Privacy Policies

UK Student Sponsors' Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. We advise you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information, including their practices and instructions about how to opt out of certain options.
