You can only get a UK Student visa if your course place comes from an institution on this register — an unlicensed provider cannot issue the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) your application depends on. The register changes regularly as licences are granted, suspended or revoked, so always re-check your institution’s status shortly before you apply.
